Tour Of The Week: The Libertines Announce December UK Tour

Indie royalty the Libertines have lined up a winter UK and European tour. The Libertines tickets are on sale now, priced from £41.25 including fees.

The indie-rock band will call in Bournemouth, Leeds, Dundee, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and London, where they’ll take over the O2 Academy Brixton for two gigs just before Christmas. Their plans also include live dates in Europe.

The London four-piece are currently working on the follow up to 2015’s ‘Anthem For Doomed Youth’ and headline the Coombe Weekender on August 3.

Additionally, Peter Doherty and Carl Barât play two acoustic shows at London’s Hackney Empire on September 5 and 6 as part of Somewhere Festival.

Tour Of The Week: Alter Bridge Announce Autumn Return For UK Arena Tour With Shinedown

Alter Bridge will return to the UK this autumn for another huge tour. Alter Bridge tickets are on sale now, priced from £39.75 including fees.

The American rockers will bring their Walk The Sky Tour to the UK’s biggest indoor venues, calling in Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Cardiff, and London, where they’ll play the O2 Arena on December 21. Support on all dates comes from special guests Shinedown and Sevendust.

The tour shares its name with four-piece’s upcoming next studio album, which is set to arrive on October 18 through Napalm Records. Stay tunes for the record’s lead single, Wouldn’t You Rather, which is scheduled to land on June 28.

Alter Bridge also bring the tour across mainland Europe between November 12 and December 12.

Having sold out her autumn European tour, the British rapper has lined up performances in Leeds, Nottingham, Oxford, and London, where she’ll take over the O2 Forum Kentish Town on December 15. The dates follow the release of her third album, ‘GREY Area’, which arrived in March.

Tour Of The Week: Bastille To Follow ‘Doom Days’ Release With Intimate Club Shows

Bastille have lined up nine intimate club shows around the UK this winter. Bastille tickets are on sale now, priced £41.70 including fees.

The Brit Award-winning quartet will present their forthcoming album, ‘Doom Days’, in full at tiny venues in Coventry, Carlisle, Aberdeen, Bradford, Grimsby, Llandudno, Torquay, Portsmouth, and Margate during November and December. They also appear at London’s Citadel Festival and Reading and Leeds this summer.

Lewis Capaldi will make the step up to arena venues in 2020. Lewis Capaldi tickets are on sale now, priced from £34.55 including fees.

The Scottish artist will tackle some of the biggest venues in Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin, Cardiff, and London, where he’ll take over the SSE Arena, Wembley on March 12.

Pixies have lined up a series of shows for September and October. Pixies tickets are on sale now, priced from £39.50/£45 plus fees.

The alt-rock pioneers will kick off the European trek at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on September 13 before stops in Plymouth, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London, where they’ll play Alexandra Palace. The run also includes Irish dates in Belfast and Dublin plus shows across continental Europe.

The UK leg of the tour is set to tie-in with the release of the Boston band’s currently untitled seventh studio album and follow up to 2016’s ‘Head Carrier’.

Tour Of The Week: Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones Announces Summer Solo Tour

Kelly Jones has announced a solo tour of the UK for June and July. Kelly Jones tickets are on sale now, priced £39.50/£49.50 plus fees.

The main creative force behind Welsh rockers Stereophonics has lined up 12 shows, with the trek set to kick off on June 1 in Edinburgh and culminate on July 3 in Nottingham. The shows will see Jones performing songs from across his 22-year career leading Stereophonics as well as his own solo material. He added:

“I’ll be performing some old songs, lots of songs I don’t normally do, some new songs, songs that have inspired me and stories that have inspired me. The tour is about overcoming things and moving on from obstacles and building strength from that. I am looking forward to performing with some new musicians and creating some beautiful moments.”

Jones released his debut solo LP, ‘Only The Names Have Been Changed’ in 2007. His last record with Stereophonics, ‘Scream Above The Sounds’, arrived in 2017.

Tour Of The Week: Vampire Weekend Add UK And European Shows To ‘Father Of The Bride’ Tour

Vampire Weekend have announced new UK and European dates in support of their forthcoming album, ‘Father Of The Bride’. Vampire Weekend tickets are on sale at 10am local time on March 22.

The New York band, led by Ezra Koenig, will also play three intimate dates in London later this week, at Hackney’s EartH on March 21, and the Islington Assembly Hall on March 22 and 23, ahead of the album’s release via Columbia Records on May 3. Tickets are on sale now.

Following that, they’ll launch the Father Of The Bride Tour in North America this summer before UK and European shows throughout November, including gigs at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse, the O2 Academy Birmingham and London’s Alexandra Palace.

Their plans also include stops in France, Belgium and the Netherlands, with tickets for the autumn run on general sale at 10am local time on March 22.

The band have shared a handful of songs in previewing the record, including a video for Sunflower, which features a cameo appearance from Jerry Seinfeld.
