Three Men Charged For T In The Park Incident

Reports have emerged that three men have been charged with the attempted murder of two individuals at last weekend’s T in the Park festival.

The festival, which is Scotland’s biggest live music event, was hailed as a total success from critics, with a variety of acts such as Eminem, Muse and Kasabian keeping gig goers spirits high with stunning performances amongst the rain-soaked three-day bash.

However, the BBC has reported that during the weekend two men were left with serious abdominal injuries following an attack on one of the festival’s walkways. The incident occurred on a path which linked the campsite and the main arena, with the two victims, both in their 20s, requiring treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Three men have now been charged with attempted murder and are due to appear at the Perth Sheriff Court. All three men as said to be in their 20s and Tayside Police Force are encouraging any festival goers who may have caught the incident on their mobile phones to come forward.

Detective Inspector Steve Bisset explained, "It's possible some campers may have captured vital images of the incident on cameras or mobile phones, and a number of others will have witnessed the assault. I would urge anyone who witnessed these incidents take place, or anyone who may have photographs or footage of the incident, to get in touch with us."

Other than this incident casting a shadow over the event, T in the Park was claimed a total success by the 85,000 campers who braved the dodgy Scottish weekend weather. The festival saw headline performances from Muse, Eminem and Kasabian with local bare-chested rockers Biffy Clyro clocking up a record-breaking ninth appearance at the festival.
