Electric Six Prepare For December UK Tour & Tickets

They want to take you to a 'Gay Bar!' Yes, thats right, Detroit-based Electric Six are returning to the UK this autumn for a string of what will probably be the best live shows you will see this year.

Formerly known as The Wildbunch, Electric Six's style of music cannot be named. There are simply no real words for it. Certainly rock influenced, the group fuse elements of “disco-synth-pop-glam” and “punk-new-wave-arena-rock-metal” to deliver mind-blowing songs and performances that are most definitely 'High Voltage'.

Gaining recognition in 2003 after breaking through with the singles 'Danger! Danger! High Voltage!' and 'Gay Bar', after the release of the album 'Fire', seven albums followed in the shape of  'Señor Smoke', 'Switzerland', the superbly-titled 'I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me from Being the Master', 'Flashy', 'KILL' and latest offering 'Zodiac'. Electric Six have also released a rarities album entitled 'Sexy Trash'.

Hitting the road to support latest album 'Zodiac', Electric Six's charismatic frontman Dick Valentine had this message for UK fans.

"You thought Electric Six was hanging out in band purgatory with all the other bands that the UK Liberal Conservative Labour tabloid gossip music industry had skewered with its steely talons? You were wrong. We have always been here before. We put on the live show of the century. We cannot be stopped. If you come to the show you will witness a band not being stopped.”

Electric Six will not be stopped at the following December 2010 UK shows:

Friday 3 December: O2 ABC, Glasgow
Monday 6 December: O2 Academy2 Liverpool
