Teenage Fanclub Announce 13th Album 'Do Not Dare To Dream', Share Lead Single Day In The Sun

Teenage Fanclub will release their new album this autumn.
'Do Not Dare To Dream' is set to arrive on October 9 via Merge Records. Alongside details of the record, they've shared its lead single Day In The Sun, a breezy, '60s rock-leaning track that arrives with a video filmed by Donald Milne on location at Black Bay Studio on the Scottish island Great Bernera, where the album was recorded.
The follow-up to 2023's 'Nothing Lasts Forever' saw the band's co-founders Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley joined by longtime members Euros Childs, Francis Macdonald and David McGowan. Discussing being veteran musicians recording in a place that predates them all, McGinley said:
“I think what happens is you just move from one thing into the next and before you know it, 30 years have passed. Yeah, it’s been a while since we started doing this thing we do, but to us it feels like no time at all. In the place where we made the record people would have been singing thousands of years ago. Life is short, but music is eternal.”
Teenage Fanclub will support the new album with tour dates across the UK, Ireland and Europe throughout October and November. Tickets are on sale now.
