Liam Gallagher Claims He Wrote Songs On His Brother’s Solo Album

Thursday, 06 January 2011 Written by James Conlon

Beady Eye singer Liam Gallagher has claimed that he wrote material which will feature on his brother Noel’s upcoming solo album.

Speaking to a British newspaper, the ex-Oasis singer said: "I've heard his new record 'cos I f**king sung on half of it. When I was in America for ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ he swiped some of it because he obviously knew he wanted to do a solo album. So he can talk all the bullsh*t about, 'Oh, I was intimidated,' and all that. F**king nonsense. Behave. He knows. The people know. And I know."

The outspoken singer went on to criticise Noel’s future live performances. He said: "I'm sure it will all be very civilised and grown-up. His gigs will be like those that you can really stroke your chin at. With four rent-a-Scousers wearing shell-suits."

With comments like that, it would be easy to think that the Beady Eye singer had plenty of time on his hands. However, Liam Gallagher recently revealed that he wishes to expand his clothing label, Pretty Green, with new items in his range including leopard-print blazers and capes. Speaking in an intimate interview, the singer cited figures such as Steve McQueen, Paul Weller and The Stone Roses as major style influences.
