English alt-rockers Radiohead have approved the release of a fan-made concert recording of their Haiti benefit gig in February. The show was recorded by a number of crowd members using conventional cameras and even footage recorded from phones.
The set, which features twenty-four songs and is over two hours long will be distributed for free via torrent and video sharing sites, however fans are encouraged to make a donation to the Haiti Earthquake and Recovery fund. The footage consists of contributions from fourteen different audience members who were all at the show in Los Angeles last January. The video is believed to have already raised over Ł6,000 for the Haiti Earthquake Fund.
Radiohead are currently working on the follow-up to 2007’s ‘In Rainbows’, which was also released with a groundbreaking ‘pay what you like’ scheme on the band’s website.
