Cruz Beckham Previews Debut EP 'Wear & Tear' With New Single Seeing Red

Cruz Beckham has shared a new single, Seeing Red.
Recorded with his band, The Breakers, the energetic rocker serves up fuzzy guitar riffs over driving rhythms, with lyrics about being yourself and giving everything, both on stage and in the crowd. Beckham explained:
"Seeing red is a comedic take on a totally unserious moment of frustration, in this case in sports. Everyone’s competitive nature likes to take over now and then, but it’s all fun and games. Seeing red is a nod to that exact turning point."
It marks the second preview of Beckham and The Breakers' upcoming six-track debut EP, 'Wear & Tear', produced by Justin Raisen and Lewis Pesacov, known for his work with Kim Gordon, Joji and Charli XCX. It's due out on August 21 and will also include the previously shared title track.
"'Wear & Tear' is synonymous to a life lived and all your life experiences so far - the good and the bad, the learning curves, and everything in between," Beckham said. "No matter how different every human experience is, we all have had at least a few similar emotions that make us all human. We’ve been high, and low, in love and in pain, jealous, upset - we’ve lived and learned. We’ve all got our wear and tear."
Beckham completed his first UK tour earlier this year and recently kicked off his debut US headline tour, which continues with a performance in Toronto tonight (July 31). He will also play Chicago's Lollapalooza and San Francisco's Outside Lands over the next few weeks, followed by the UK's Reading and Leeds festival and the Rock N Roll Circus series in Norwich and Sheffield supporting The Kooks.
