Mona Unveil Video For Their Latest Single ‘Teenager’

Tuesday, 18 January 2011 Written by James Conlon

Mona have unveiled the video for their new single, ‘Teenager’. Hotly tipped as the next big thing to come out of Nashville, Mona have had a string of successful tour dates in the UK over the past few months and are set to return at the end of January.

The video is a brooding and sexy three and a half minute affair which sees the band performing the song and looking despondent as a string of half naked women (understandably) pout and get down and dirty with each other...and here was you thinking ‘Inception’ was a tough one to follow.

In an interview with The Sun today, lead singer Nick Brown commented on the meaning behind the song: "All people have desire and need more than just themselves, you love love but can't find a love."

He continued, discussing the band’s collective mentality: "We're all family people. We're all mamas' boys. We all try to be good brothers, to be good sons. The same thing with the band - we're a family. But obviously with the band we're more like a family in the Mafia sense. We're a f***ing gang as well. It's all hugs and kisses on the cheek - but if you f*** with us, we're vicious."
