Liam Gallagher Claims Noel Is Secretly Recording New Album

Beady Eye’s Liam Gallagher has claimed that his bother Noel has in fact written the entirety of his solo album and is in the process of recording material. The assertion comes as a reaction to Noel’s claim last week that he has not even started writing songs for his solo effort.

Speaking to XFM yesterday, Liam Gallagher was adamant that his brother was 'doing a Radiohead' and preparing for a swift release of the record without warning. He said: “I reckon he's written it, man. He's probably going down that Radiohead thing - it's probably out already! He's definitely written it, he's been in the studio for ages."

Liam continued: "So I don't know what he's talking about. I'll be interested to hear it, see if I'm on it...In the background somewhere."

The singer then proceeded to claim that his current Beady Eye bandmates Andy Bell and Gem Archer are even featuring on the record. Archer responded noncommittally: "We'll see won't we? It was weird... Noel's a top songwriter, so when you're hearing whatever he was coming up with anyway...well, that's that. But now, it's all brand new I suppose."

Beady Eye are scheduled to release their debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ this Monday (February 28th).
