V Festival tickets were sold out in record time this morning as fans scrambled for tickets during the early morning onsale.
The festival, which takes place in August over two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire, was reported to have completely sold out within an astonishingly fast 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The 2011 V Festival will be headlined with a rare UK appearance from US rap icon Eminem. Also on the bill are Sheffield indie titans Arctic Monkeys, R&B singer Rihanna and Plan B. The popular lineup was announced at 11pm this past Tuesday.
The line-up for V Festival 2011 so far has been announced as follows:

V 2011 Festival Director, Simon Moran commented:

V Festival 2011 offers a great balance of classic crowd pleasers, new emerging talent, solid live performers, and a couple of surprises thrown in for good measure. Fans can expect a festival experience like no other and with a host of live talent across four stages the only dilemma will be which act to see.
“We also have new additions to the V Festival experience this year. V style will give fans the opportunity to enjoy a VIP experience, with a host of onsite luxury camping choices. Ticket holders can also look forward to a brand new comedy tent to ensure some light entertainment over the weekend”.
