Mona Release Details Of New EP 'Listen To Your Love' & New UK Shows

In the build up to one of the most anticipated debut albums of 2011, Mona are to release the ‘Listen To Your Love’ EP. The EP will be released through the band’s own imprint Zion Noiz Recordings/Island Records and will be made available on limited edition white vinyl from May 9th and digital download from March 21st.


The EP will include the tracks, ‘Listen To Your Love’, ‘Brick Shoes’, ‘The Tally’ and a special piano version of ‘Trouble On The Way’. A new 1960’s, Bob Dylan themed video for ‘Listen To Your Love’ was shot in Paris whilst the original video has now had over 200,000 views on You Tube.
 
The band have also announced more shows, including supporting the Kings Of Leon on their summer stadium tour. The shows will take place in London (Hyde Park), Manchester (Old Trafford Cricket Ground), Sunderland (Stadium of Light), Coventry (Ricoh Arena). Mona will also join Morrisey on tour in York, Bradford and Cheltenham.
 
May 17th will see Mona play their biggest show to date at London’s Electric Ballroom. A full list of dates is below.
 
Mona’s debut, self titled album is released a week after the EP on May 16th. The album was originally recorded in the band’s Nashville basement and was mixed by Rich Costey (Muse, Foo Fighters, Glasvegas) and was produced by Nick Brown.
 
2011 has started strongly for Mona, winning MTV’s Brand New For 2011, polling over 35% of of 200,000 public votes and beating off competition from Jessie J, The Vaccines and Jamie Woon. This is not to mention playing shows for Q, Channel 4 drama Skins, appearing on Later..With Jools Holland at the end of 2010 and supporting The Walkmen last month.
