Julia Jacklin Announces Fourth Album 'The Gem', Shares First Single

Julia Jacklin has announced her fourth album.
The follow-up to 2022's 'Pre Pleasure' is titled 'The Gem' and is set to arrive on September 25, marking the Australian singer-songwriter's debut release on 4AD/Remote Control Records.
Produced with Robert Muinos and recorded in Melbourne at his Rat Shack Studios, which sits above the The Gem bar (hence the album's title), the record features Jacob Diamond (guitar), Mimi Gilbert (bass) and Jess Elwood (drums).
Alongside the announcement, Jacklin has released the new single Get Away From Me (I Think I’ll Love You Soon), which delivers fuzzy guitars and '80s-style jangle rock.
She'll support the LP with a previously announced North American tour this fall, followed by UK and European shows in February and March next year.
Prior to those dates, she'll play a series of independent record stores across the UK and Ireland over the next few weeks, kicking off at Spindizzy Records in Dublin on June 28, followed by stops at Resident in Brighton on June 29, Rough Trade East in London on June 30, Jacaranda in Liverpool on July 2 and Rough Trade in Nottingham on July 3.
