Osmo Arrives From Finland With First Internation Single And Album

Conehead are delighted to announce that they will release the incendiary UK debut single and album from the hotly tipped Finnish performer Osmo. The single ‘Heaven and Hell’ is released 22 May 2011 and the album ‘Heaven and Hell is Just a State Of Mind’ is out on 6 June 2011.

A cool slice of soulful Pop, ‘Heaven and Hell’ is the first UK release from the highly talented multi-instrumentalist and the entertaining video embedded below shows exactly how good he is – drums, keys, vocals, sax, violin, cello guitar and bass – at the same time!?

Bearing out his influences by the likes of Prince, Stevie Wonder and D’Angelo, Osmo nonetheless has his own style and swing which has evolved throughout his upbringing in an incredibly musical family in Central Finland. Osmo writes, performs and produces all of his own work. ‘Heaven and Hell is Just a State Of Mind’ is his second solo album and the first to be released internationally.

Osmo has been invited to make his UK live debut on 20th April 2011 at the Finnish Ambassador’s Residence in London – he will also perform the following day at the Scandinavian Kitchen on Great Titchfield Street , W1. “I cannot wait to visit London again and I look forward to meeting some new people at the showcase.” Hailing from the tiny village of Korpilahti in Finland , Osmo is now establishing himself on the musical scene in a big way, as well as his solo work he also tours extensively with Finnish stars Sunrise Avenue and also plays cello in a Finnish Grammy awarded jazz group – Oddarrang.

Osmo is a guy from the middle of nowhere with a huge talent and a knack for a killer tune. “I come from the smallest place imaginable. What you hear is me, nothing else and I really want people to love it.”
