Radiohead Cause Queues With ‘The Universal Sigh’

Monday, 28 March 2011 Written by James Conlon

Radiohead have celebrated the physical release of their latest studio album, ‘The King of Limbs’ today (March 28th) by giving out copies of a special newspaper, ‘The Universal Sigh’.

The band have offered the limited edition paper at various locations in cities around the world, giving the publication out free to fans. The paper contains short stories, poetry, art and lyrics, and you can download it as a PDF here.

The band caused queues in East London today as they gave a special treat to their London fanbase by turning up in person to distribute the papers. Thom Yorke and Co. made a special appearance at Rough Trade East in Brick Lane, giving out copies of the publication in person to excited fans. The paper has also been available for collection in Glasgow and Manchester.

Their appearance is said to have caused queues to form around the block from the record store, which has become famous as a haven for die-hard music fans.

Radiohead’s eighth studio album, ‘The King of Limbs’ is available to purchase on CD and Vinyl from today, with a special ‘newspaper edition’ of the album available from May 9th.
