Summer 2011 just got a little hotter as the Los Angeles’ newest rock sensations, the Black Veil Brides, continue their musical takeover with their major label debut, ‘Set the World on Fire.’
The band’s second album is slated for release via Lava Music/Universal Republic Records on June 13 in the UK. ‘Set the World on Fire’ is the follow-up to their chart-topping 2010 debut album ‘We Stitch These Wounds’, which came in at #36 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Billboard Independent chart.
"Everything is bigger -- more songs, more vocals, more melodies. And it all came naturally; it's not an attempt to try to outdo our first record, but we wanted to show how we had naturally grown as a band and as songwriters. This is my favourite record I've ever made -- and most importantly, the best album anybody's ever made" proclaims front man and founder Andy Biersack.
The title track from the upcoming release will also be featured in Wes Craven’s Scream 4. The song found its way into the film after the band’s loyal BVBArmy flooded the Scream message boards when a survey was posted asking which artists they would like to see on the soundtrack. Before long, pages of posts mentioning the Black Veil Brides found their way in front of the music supervisor and director Wes Craven. That led to “Set the World on Fire” being featured in what is sure to be one of the biggest horror films of the year.
The band is currently on the road headlining The AP Tour 2011. They will also be performing at this year’s Bamboozle Music Festival in New Jersey, Rock on the Range in Ohio and Download Festival on 12th June in the UK before heading out on Warped Tour at the end of June.
