Critically acclaimed rapper, Lupe Fiasco, returns with his fantastic new single ‘Words I Never Said’ featuring newcomer Skylar Grey released on May 16 through Atlantic Records. The follow up single to ‘The Show Goes On’ is taken from his hotly anticipated third album ‘LASERS’ which is out now.
‘Words I Never Said’ features the hauntingly striking vocals from Skylar Grey who has recently appeared on Dr Dre’s ‘I Need a Doctor’ and Diddy’s ‘Coming Home’. Produced by Grammy Award winner, the UK’s own Alex da Kid (Rihanna, Eminem, Nicki Minaj), the lyricist unloads his frustration with the media and politics combining thought provoking rhymes with irresistible melodies.
Three years after releasing his sophomore LP, 'The Cool', and following overwhelming public demand where over 32,000 fans signed a petition insisting its release, ‘LASERS’ (an acronym for “Love Always Shines Everytime: Remember To Smile”) finally hit the shelves. The long awaited album peaked at #1 in the US charts and debuted the UK album charts at #25.
