New Arctic Monkeys Track ‘Reckless Serenade’ Appears Online – Listen Now

Friday, 13 May 2011 Written by James Conlon

Arctic Monkeys have unveiled the latest track from their upcoming studio album, 'Suck It And See'. The track, entitled ‘Reckless Serenade’ appeared online recently, receiving generally positive reviews from fans on YouTube and music blogs.

The track is a stylish affair, formed around a driving bassline and guitar tones littered with reverb. Although frontman Alex Turner cited David Bowie, Lou Reed and Nick Cave as the main influences behind the band’s fourth studio album, if this track is anything to go by then they've also been listening to their fair share of The Pixies.

You can listen to ‘Reckless Serenade’ (and a couple of other tracks from ‘Suck It And See’) at the bottom of the page.

Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys are set to appear on ‘Later Live...With Jools Holland’ tonight (May 13th), performing tracks from ‘Suck It And See’ for the first time on British television. Their appearance will go out on a half-hour live version of the show at 10pm and also on an extended edition, broadcast at 11.50pm.
