Californian punk rockers Strung Out have confirmed details of their upcoming ‘best of’ album ‘Top Contenders’, which is due for release on 19th July. The album will feature 23 songs taken from the band’s seven albums and two EPs released to date, as well as three specially-recorded new bonus tracks, released exclusively on this album. Strung Out will also be playing a number of dates in the UK in July. See below for details and tickets.
Speaking about ‘Top Contenders’, Strung Out guitarist Jake Kiley said: “We are super stoked on how our best of album has turned out. We chose the songs that we thought would best define our sound and it wasn’t easy making the final selection. We can’t wait for you, the fans, to check them out. The bonus is the three brand-new, unreleased songs that are included, which turned out great as well. If you were to only buy one Strung Out album, this would for sure be it.”
Strung Out formed in 1992 and released their debut album ‘Another Day in Paradise’ two years later through Fat Wreck Chords. They have since released all seven of their albums through the label, the most recent being 2009’s ‘Agents of the Underground’.
