Adele Declares She Will Never Play Arena or Festival Shows

Singing sensation Adele has surprised fans and tour chiefs by declaring that she will never play a festival or arena show, over fears for her anxiety.
Although the star has had major success throughout her career, which propelled her into the top 10 richest British and Irish musicians under 30, Adele looks likely to lose out on a lot of cash in ticket sales as she limits herself to intimate gigs only.
Speaking to Q Magazine, the singer admits that she wouldn’t be able to handle the idea of playing to huge crowds
.
“I will not do festivals. The thought of an audience that big frightens the life out of me. I don’t think the music would work either. It’s all too slow
“I’d hate to book a festival and have a fucking anxiety attack and then not go on stage, do you know what I mean?”
The 23-year old has already turned down the opportunity to play arena shows in the past, deciding against three shows at London’s 02 Arena, which has a 23,000 person capacity.
And the Hometown Glory singer was very blunt about it.
“We had three nights on hold at The O2 and I was like "I won’t play a festival. You think I'm gonna play a fucking arena? Are you out of your mind?
“I'd rather play 12 years at the Barfly than one night at The O2! So I've made all those decisions and some people are pretty mortified. They think I'm mad.”
