Glee’s Cory Monteith Discusses Upcoming UK Tour

Tuesday, 07 June 2011 Written by James Conlon

Glee’s Cory Monteith, better known as the vocal group’s worst dancer Finn Hudson, has spoken about the show’s live tour, claiming that he is “very excited” about bringing the show to the British Isles.

The stage version of the hugely successful TV show is set to begin its UK jaunt in Manchester this month, where the junior members of the cast will be joined by male vocal group The Warblers to perform the hits from the show.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Monteith expressed hit excitement about the UK tour. He said: "It's a huge rock concert basically - think Glee meets Kiss. It's quite over the top and full of dancers and lights. It's really an amazing show and I can't wait for everyone to see it. If you don't believe me just go on YouTube!"

As well as discussing the live tour, Monteith also went on to talk about the next series of the hit musical drama. He said: "There's gonna be a lot of transitions happening. Rachel's eyes are very much set on New York when we leave season two and Finn is very interested in rekindling a relationship with her. It's gonna be those challenges - does she go to New York? Does she stay? That's what season three is gonna be all about."

He continued: “I think it's going to be interesting to see Mr Schuester's role - whether he pursues his Broadway dream or whether he stays at McKinley High."
