Kasabian Warn Fans After ‘Ticket Index’ Scam

Kasabian have issued a statement after several of their fans were conned out of money by a fake ticket website. The site, called ‘Ticket Index’ is said to have charged several concert-goers for tickets to the band’s show at O2 Academy Sheffield on June 4th, but failed to deliver the tickets.
After receiving direct complaints from dozens of fans, the band issued the following statement: "This site is the subject of a criminal investigation and the police and Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting centre, are aware of it. Any customer affected should follow the instructions from Action Fraud."
According to BBC Newsbeat, the website have failed to respond to emails and were not contactable on their advertised telephone number.
Late last week London Police also confirmed that they were looking to investigate a number of claims from Take That fans who claimed that they had bought tickets through the site for their ‘Progress Live’ tour but failed to receive any tickets.
Concert promoters SJM Concerts recently issued a statement about the website fraud, saying: "People who have bought tickets on fraudulent websites should speak to their bank/credit card company about getting a refund and are advised to go on Ticketmaster or See Tickets where late ticket releases are made available for many shows at face value."
