Adele is set to take singing lessons in order to preserve her voice, according to reports. The singer, who was recently forced to cancel a series of shows in America due to a bout of Laryngitis, is said to be taking the lessons so that she will sing in way which is better for her vocal health.
According to British paper The Sun, the ‘Someone Like You’ star sings ‘through her chest’, a method which is said to be less beneficial to the vocal chords in the long run. A source told the paper: "There are commonly two approaches singers take. They are called 'singing through your chest' or 'singing through your head'".
They continued: "Singing through your chest can increase the chances of callouses and nodules appearing on the vocal chords. But the latter approach drastically decreases the chances of those problems occurring. Adele sings more through her chest at the moment."
Meanwhile, Adele recently announced that ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ would be released as the third single from her hugely successful sophomore album ‘21’. The track has already been released in several countries in Europe, even managing to reach Number Six in the German singles chart without being officially released.
