Undercover From Virgin Media Brings Jaguar Skills & Gomez To V Festival 2011

Virgin Media’s V Festival 2011 have announced a fantastic array of artists set to appear on the newly named Undercover From Virgin Media stage this year. Leading the way is notorious British DJ Jaguar Skills, and Goldie Lookin’ Chain who will be headlining the new stage. Indie rock sensations Gomez, I Am Kloot and Morcheeba are also set to deliver some stand out live performances across the festival weekend.

Goldie Lookin’ Chain comments: “This year we want to fulfil a lifetime’s dream, getting a live jam together on stage with the one and only Fun Lovin’ Criminals. Imagine the ultimate combination of modestly priced leisurewear rocking out side by side with some of the slickest formal wear in the music industry.”

Joining these established festival favourites in Hylands Park Chelmsford and Weston Park Staffordshire, will be an unrivalled mix of new and emerging talent in the form of  The Airborne Toxic Event, Bellowhead, Chromeo, Yasmin, The Pierces, Frankmusic, Fenech-Soler, Beardyman, Mummers, Maverick Sabre, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Alex Winston, Morning Parade, Fitz and the Tantrums, Alice Gold, Parade, Emma’s Imagination and Wolfgang

Chromeo comments: "Last time we played V, nobody knew who we were, it was only a DJ gig and we were actually schlepping crates of vinyl. Needless to say, we're thrilled to finally be back in full funkateer mode. This shall be terrific."

Speaking about the line-up, Nigel Gilbert, Chief Marketing Officer for Virgin Media added. “Undercover From Virgin Media brings music lovers an eclectic mix of established names, as well as the best in new and emerging talent.  We're proud to support one of the UK's finest live music events and look forward to some of the Undercover acts headlining at future V Festivals."

V Festival is now in its 16th year and was the first UK festival to operate over two days and swap line-ups overnight. Artists who have performed include The Killers, Kylie, Foo Fighters, Blur, Oasis, Kings of Leon and Radiohead. This year's V Festival takes place on the weekend of Saturday 20th August and Sunday 21st August.
