It would be easy to imagine that Mona frontman Nick Brown has no difficulties with the ladies. However, the singer of the up-and-coming Nashville four-piece appealed to a British newspaper today in his quest to find a partner.
Speaking to The Sun, the singer pleaded for the paper to help him find a female companion. He said: "I want to give you my cell phone number so you can print it in the paper. I need to find a woman - and British chicks rock. I really like Gavin Rossdale's daughter. What's her name again? Daisy Lowe. She's amazing."
The singer also discussed the band’s recent fortunes, which appear to be on the up as they were recently selected to support Kings Of Leon for their large stadium shows. Brown was unapologetic about his confidence, saying: "I'm just honest. I don't step into arenas if I don't feel like I know what I'm talking about. I've spent a long time listening to and playing music and I'm fucking proud of it. I don't think that's cocky.”
He continued: “If your grandma had a heart problem, you'd want to take her to the best heart doctor in the world. And if the guy was like, 'Dude, I'm the best heart doctor in the world. She's gonna be fine,' you're gonna go, 'Thank you.' Why with art do we go, 'This doctor's a fucking asshole, he thinks he's good at what he does?'"
"When we open up for somebody bigger than us we're grateful and humble and we do our best. But we've tasted blood now. And until our name's on the head of that bill, we don't plan on slowing down."
