Loveable comedian Michael McIntyre has revealed that he will host a special Christmas version of his popular Comedy Roadshow.
Comedy Roadshow is McIntyre's current TV endevaour and the successful second series, which plays on BBC1 on Saturday nights, has secured a Christmas Special which will be hosted by McIntyre, one of the nation's favourite stand-up comedians of recent times. And the funny-man is exicted at the chance to appear in the unique episode.
"It's such an honour," said McIntyre, "for the show to be on Christmas Day and to be introducing some of the biggest names in comedy to entertain a turkey-filled nation slumped on their sofas."
Mark Linsey, the BBC entertainment commissioner behind hit shows like Total Wipeout and Who Dares Wins, is equally happy with the approval of the Christmas show.
"Who better to bring some Christmas cheer to BBC One viewers than Michael. He is such a favourite with our audiences and this show is bound to be a real festive treat."
McIntyre is preparing for an Autumn full of UK dates, which will see him play a series of dates starting in Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena. For dates and tickets, see below.
