Noel Gallagher Reveals Origin of High Flying Birds Band Name

Ex-Oasis man Noel Gallagher has revealed the origins of the name of his new band ‘Noel Gallaher’s High Flying Birds’ ahead of their first album release.
The Mancunian singer-songwriter has been enjoying the success of his new solo efforts alongside his band of musicians that he calls his ‘High Flying Birds’ – which he has now revealed is the name of one of his favourite 60’s tracks.
“I thought, Ah! What if I was Noel Gallagher's... something?” Noel said. “And then maybe a month passed and I was looking through something and there's a song by Jefferson Airplane called 'High Flying Birds.'
“And that name jumped out. I had a bit of a eureka moment, so I wrote it down. I thought, that looks really cool. It doesn't mean anything, you know?"
