Chthonic & Kiuas To Join Finnish Metallers Turisas On UK Tour & Tickets

Chthonic (pictured) and Kiuas will both join Finnish folk metallers Turisas on the UK leg of their ‘Stand Up And Fight’ European tour, which kicks off in October 2011.

Taiwanese metallers Chthonic were last in the UK for the Download Festival in June, since which time this highly visual five-piece have released their latest studio album, ‘Takasago Army’,through the Spinefarm label, supported by the single ‘Takao’.

‘Takasago Army’ sees Chthonic drawing more strongly than ever on their Eastern influences, giving true sense to the words ‘Orient Metal’ – the term the band use to define their hybrid musical style. Check out the video to 'Takao' below.

A new Chthonic single, ‘Broken Jade’, will be released on October 24th in support of the band’s return to the UK.

For Spinefarm label-mates Kius, this 14-date run represents the UK debut for the band’s new line-up, with Asim Searah joining on vocals and Rainer ‘Raikku’ Tuomikanto taking over on drums; in addition, keyboard maestro Jari Pailamo now becomes an official Kiuas member.
