Coolio To Play One-Off London Show This November

American rapper Coolio has announced a one-off show in London’s ULU for this November, it has been confirmed.
The legendary ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ singer will return to British shores for the first time in a long while, and tickets are expected to fly out as Coolio takes over London on November 15th. It follows the recent influx of rappers and hip-hop groups to hit the UK this year, including Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy, Ghostface Killah, MF Doom and Mac Miller all scheduling UK tours.
Coolio, who is also famed for writing and performing the theme tune to teen show Keenan and Kel, last put out a record in 2009, titled ‘From the Bottom 2 the Top’. It was the rapper’s seventh album since his 1994 debut ‘It Takes a Thief’, which has certified platinum in the US. Despite his more recent albums lacking the success of his previous releases, Coolio is still considered one of the biggest names in rap and hip-hop and is one of few artists to have albums certified Gold in the UK, despite hip-hop being a less supported genre here in Britain. He re-released ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ this year as ‘Gangsta’s Paradise 2k11’, which is a slightly remixed and altered version. You can expect to hear this and all of his classic tracks this November when Coolio hits ULU for a one-off rap spectacular.
