39 Year-Old Kills Mother in Avril Lavigne Ticket Dispute

39 year-old Robert Lyons has been incarcerated for 20 years after he attacked and murdered his own mother because she refused to buy him tickets to an Avril Lavigne concert.
The crazed fan, who has previously been diagnosed with having anger problems and psychological disorders, asked his mother Linda Bolek to pay for tickets so that he could go and see Avril Lavigne when she came to Chicago in 2008.
But, after she declined, Lyons grabbed a bottle of brandy and smashed her in the head twice, knocking her down onto the floor. He then picked up a knife and stabbed her nine times, breaking off the head of the knife in the process, leaving it inside Bolek’s body. Finally, he covered her body with bleach as well as other chemicals before leaving the body. He was later arrested at a Hooters restaurant later that evening.
The killer was imprisoned after a court hearing in Illinois last Wednesday, and is most likely to be given a 20 year sentence. He will be officially sentenced later this week.
