American rock legends Misfits have announced a trio of live dates for February next year – just a couple of days after they released their new album ‘The Devil’s Rain’.
The veterans have gone eight years without an album release, leaving fans with just one fresh single to rock out to when the band embarked on their 30th anniversary world tour through 2009 and 2010. But, now they’ve got their whole new LP in their arsenal, they’ve hit the road for a trip around America – before hopping across the pond to bring their much-loved blend of punk rock and horror films to British shores. Founding member Jerry Only has talked about their new album:
“It’s been over 30 years and 30 years from now, people will still be playing our albums because we will never water down what we do,” said Only. “Our goal is to keep perspective on who we are and always stay true to ourselves. The new album will only reinforce how potent the band has become with time.
“We plan to continue as always, to eclipse the past, block the sun and drag humanity by the throat into a world of darkness filled with ghouls, goblins and creatures of the night, where we are king.”
If you’re a fan of the iconic band you can catch them performing in Birmingham, Newcastle and Brighton, with all the possibility of more dates being announced in the near future. Further details of the tour can be seen below.
