Folk Singer Emily Barker Confirmed as Support on Frank Turner’s November Tour

Australian folk act Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo are to release their third album ‘Almanac’ on 14th November. A new video to the album track ‘Billowing Sea’ can be watched below. The band will be starting their biggest UK headlining tour to date this week before joining US punk rockers Against Me! as support on Frank Turner’s tour next month. Emily Barker is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from Bridgetown in Western Australia. Her new album ‘Almanac’ is her third with The Red Clay Halo following 2005’s ‘Photos. Fires. Fables.’ and 2008’s ‘Despite the Snow’.
Emily’s track ‘Nostalgia’ is probably best known as the theme song from the BBC One crime drama ‘Wallander’. In 2009, she received the Royal Television Society’s Music (Original Title) Award alongside composer Martin Phipps. Emily worked with Phipps again when she lent him her track ‘Pause’ for the theme song to the BBC Two drama ‘The Shadow Line’.
