Johnny Foreigner Announce Two Album Launch Shows Next Month

Birmingham-based rock trio Johnny Foreigner are to release their third album ‘Johnny Foreigner vs. Everything’ on 7th November. The band have also revealed two album launch shows in London and Birmingham to follow its release – see below for dates.

Johnny Foreigner have also announced that the new album can be pre-ordered here. Fans can also purchase the album as part of two special bundles, which include either a glow-in-the-dark Johnny Foreigner T-shirt or a ticket to one of the launch shows.

Johnny Foreigner released their debut album ‘Waited Up ‘til It Was Light’ in 2008. Their latest offering ‘Johnny Foreigner vs. Everything’ follows 2009’s ‘Grace and the Bigger Picture’.

Speaking about the new album, frontman Alexei Berrow said: “We are bursting with excitement to be able to start talking about our wonderful record. It was made this spring and summer in our hometown by our old friend Dominique James. We started writing it two years ago and staggered recording and mixing over five months. The title came first. This is the first full length record we've made without a Grammy-nominated producer, without contracts and New York and professionals. The biggest challenge we've faced as a band, and the worst thing about leaving the world of corporate-funded labels, was knowing that sooner or later we'd come to this point - having to make a way better record for a way worse budget… and I'm beyond proud to say that I think that’s exactly what us and Dom have achieved. We've made the record that sounds like we do in our heads.”

Stereoboard’s Rachel Preece recently spoke to Alexei to find out more about the new album. Click here to read the full interview.
