Having just finished his Autumn 2011 UK tour, Wilko Johnson, guitarist and founding member of Dr. Feelgood, has announced a new UK tour for April 2012.
Wilko first made his name in 1971 when he formed Dr. Feelgood; a British pub rock band from Canvey Island, Essex. Known for their electrifying concerts, their first two albums, 'Down by the Jetty' (1974) and 'Malpractice' (1975), were immensely popular and their 1976 live album 'Stupidity' went to Number One in the UK’s official album chart.
By the time Dr. Feelgood released their 1977 fourth album, 'Sneakin’ Suspicion', Johnson left the group and to pursue a solo career, and joined Ian Dury and the Blockheads in 1980.
Last month Wilko Johnson hit the road, joined by Norman Watt-Roy on bass and Dylan Howe on drums, for an extensive UK tour. He will step out onto the live stage once again in April 2012.
In addition, April will also see Wilko Johnson release his autobiography ‘Looking Back At Me’.
