The Puppini Sisters Release Cover of ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ – Watch Now

Friday, 18 November 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Swing music trio The Puppini Sisters have released a video for their cover of ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ from the musical ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’. The song is taken from the group’s new album ‘Hollywood’ – a collection of songs made famous or inspired by Tinseltown classics. Watch the video for ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ below.

‘Hollywood’ is due for release on 26th December 2011 and features reworkings of well-known tracks such as ‘Moon River’, ‘I Feel Pretty’ and Frank Sinatra’s ‘September Song’. For the new video for ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’, The Puppini Sisters worked with Janie Bryant, the stylist for TV’s ‘Mad Men’. Puppini Sister Kate Mullins said that it was “a dream come true. Janie is a joy to be around. I’ve never felt so glam.”

‘Hollywood’ is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Christmas with The Puppini Sisters’, which was released to coincide with the trio’s annual festive performances. December will see the return of the group for their yearly Christmas shows at a number of venues around the country – see below for dates and tickets.

The Puppini Sisters were recently invited by Michael Buble to feature on his new ‘Christmas’ album, which came out last month.
