Phoenix Festival Line-Up Leak False, According To Organisers

A document reportedly leaked through Twitter earlier today has been cast away as fake by festival organisers Music Festivals Plc.

A convincing poster which detailed each and every act on each stage of the three day festival hit the net earlier today, causing a major stir among potential festival goers and fans, some who were impressed by the line-up and some who were against it.

According to the poster, Phoenix would be headlined by Bjork on Sunday, Radiohead on Saturday and Smashing Pumpkins on Friday night. Other acts included Sonic Youth, Garbage, Roxy Music, Vampire Weekend, HotCchip and Crystal Castles.

But, a Music Festivals spokesperson spoke out to fans to say: “Music Festivals Plc is working very hard on its summer music offering and we'll announce the line-up in due course.” He then stated that the company had no further comment.

Phoenix Festival was a 1993 music festival that, after a great year, went on to become an annual event, until 1998 when it was cancelled due to poor attendance. But, with organisers aware that Glastonbury was taking a break next year, Phoenix will be making its return – with a big line-up. But it seems like you’ll have to wait a little longer to see it.
