Mitch Winehouse Now Considering Amy Biopic

Despite earlier reports that Mitch would never allow an Amy Winehouse biopic, he has now come forward to say that he WOULD allow a film to be made – as long as it only told the complete truth behind her whole story.

After it had emerged that one of Amy’s ex’s, filmmaker Reg Traviss, had been asked to direct a potential biopic about the star’s career, Amy’s dad Mitch went straight to the press saying that he’d never allow such a film to be created and would block directors from using her music – meaning it would be impossible to make.

But, barely two days after he made the claims, they’ve changed their minds, and said that they’d look into the possibility of a film – as long as it told the truth.

“Mitch and the family would entertain ideas perhaps for a film,” Mitch’s spokesperson said, “but only one they were sure would tell the truth.” He went on to deny rumours that he had actually lined-up eccentric pop superstar to play Amy in the film, writing through his Twitter page “I never said Lady Gaga will play Amy in film. Also Amy's room not a shrine. Wot a load of rubbish. Mitch.”

Who would you choose to play Amy in a film of her life? Do you think there even should be a film about her? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
