Tennis Cover Broadcast’s ‘Tears in the Typing Pool’ - Listen Now

American indie-pop trio Tennis have released their own version of Broadcast’s ‘Tears in the Typing Pool’, which is available to download from the band’s SoundCloud page. The song was originally included on the 2005 album ‘Tender Buttons’ by Broadcast, who tragically lost their singer Trish Keenan to pneumonia earlier this year.
Tennis recently announced the upcoming release of their second album ‘Young and Old’ on 13th February. The album, which is produced by The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, is the follow-up to the band’s debut ‘Cape Dory’. Tennis recently released the double A-side single ‘Origins’/’Deep in the Woods’ ahead of the album – watch the video to ‘Deep in the Woods’ below.
Tennis from Denver, Colorado are made up of founding members Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore, who are married, and drummer James Barone. ‘Cape Dory’ originally came about as a result of Patrick and Alaina’s travels on their boat of the same name. After the band had completed touring the first album, they headed to Nashville, Tennessee to work with Carney on the second.
Tennis will be launching the release of ‘Young and Old’ with a performance at London’s Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on Monday 13th February.
