Shed Seven are an English indie rock band from York, consisting of Rick Witter, Paul Banks, Tom Gladwin, Joe Johnson and Alan Leach. A Britpop band, they gained several hits in the 1990s, such as Going for Gold and Getting Better.

Formed in 1990, the band released their debut album, ‘Change Giver’, in 1994, which peaked at #16 in the UK Albums Chart. Their second release, ’A Maximum High’, came out in 1996, and reached #8 in the chart, while ‘Let It Ride’, which was released in 1998, also hit the Top Ten. Their final album, ‘Truth Be Told’, came out in 2001, before their split in 2003. The band returned in 2007 for a greatest hits tour, and announced in 2017 that were returning to the studio to create a new album. In November that year, they released 'Instant Pleasures', and went on to tour Australia, the US, Canada, Europe and the UK, headlining festivals in the UK in the summer.

Shed Seven played Shedcember19 UK tour dates in 2019, with Cardiff and Bournemouth shows rescheduled to take place in February 2020.
