Shed Seven are an English indie rock band from York, consisting of Rick Witter, Paul Banks, Tom Gladwin, Joe Johnson and Alan Leach.
Formed in 1990, the band released their debut album ‘Change Giver’ in 1994, which peaked at #16 in the UK Albums Chart. Their second release, ’A Maximum High’, came out in 1996 and reached #8 in the chart, while ‘Let It Ride’, which was released in 1998, also hit the top ten. They followed up with ‘Truth Be Told’ in 2001, before their initial split in 2003. In 2017, Shed Seven put out 'Instant Pleasures', their first studio album in 16 years. In support of the LP, they went on to tour Australia, North America, Europe and the UK. Shed Seven have rescheduled their headline show at Halifax’s Piece Hall to June 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
