Shed Seven Announce 'A Maximum High' 30th Anniversary UK Tour For Autumn

Shed Seven have announced a short run of UK shows for the autumn to celebrate their classic album 'A Maximum High'.

To mark the album's 30th anniversary, and following their sold-out show at The Piece Hall in Halifax last month, the York indie legends will bring the record back to intimate UK venues, including some they last played during its original release in 1996.

The run will kick off on October 15 at Birmingham's O2 Institute, before stops at Kingston's Circuit, London's Scala, Northampton's Roadmender and Manchester's Academy 2, and currently wraps up on October 31 at Glasgow's Barrowland. Announcing the dates, the band said:

"After the incredible response to our A Maximum High 30th Anniversary show in Halifax, and after hearing that so many of you missed out, we're thrilled to announce a special run of A Maximum High shows this October 2026 and February 2027.

"This time we'll be taking things back to where it all began... smaller, more intimate venues, just like the ones we were playing back in 1996.

"We'll be performing A Maximum High in full, followed by a second set of Shed classics, along with a few tracks from our forthcoming self-titled album, Shed Seven."

Alongside the dates, the band have announced 'Shed Seven - A Maximum Lo-Fi', a special edition of their upcoming self-titled album created exclusively for the new shows, featuring bonus tracks with stripped back, acoustic reworkings of rare cuts and b-sides from the 'A Maximum High' era. It'll be available exclusively through independent record stores Jacaranda Records, Banquet Records, Crash Records and Assai Records.

Shed Seven will release their self-titled seventh album on January 8 via Cooking Vinyl, which they recently previewed with the single Stand Together.

They'll also take take their 10th annual Shedcember winter tour across the UK in November and December, featuring support from The Academic. Ahead of the tour, the band will perform in Belfast and Dublin in October.

Tickets for their new 'A Maximum High' shows go on general sale at 10am on Friday (July 31). Their Shedcember Tour dates are on sale now.
