Shed Seven Announce Self-Titled Seventh Studio Album With New Single Stand Together

Shed Seven have announced their self-titled seventh studio album.
Due for release on January 8 via Cooking Vinyl, the follow-up to their two UK chart-topping studio albums 'A Matter Of Time' and 'Liquid Gold' (both released in 2024) is led by the new single Stand Together, which serves up the York band's uplifting and anthemic Britpop energy with driving guitars and a big, singalong chorus. Lead singer Rick Witter commented:
"We are excited to announce the imminent arrival of our 7th studio album which is eponymously titled Shed Seven to honour the fact. We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet, and we hope these songs are taken to people’s hearts. The brand new comeback single ‘Stand Together’ shows a statement of intent. It’s a call to arms and a rallying cry for some kind of unity in the world we live in today."
Alongside the announcement, the band have revealed details of how to live-stream a surprise acoustic show at London's 100 Club tonight (July 2), hosted by Steve Lamacq. Head here at 8pm BST tonight to watch the performance.
Shed Seven will take their annual Shedcember winter tour across the UK in November and December, featuring support from The Academic. Celebrating the 10th Shedcember Tour, this year's festive run is billed as Shedcember X and is described as the band's biggest and most celebratory yet. To mark the milestone, they recently shared a special short film written and directed by guitarist Paul Banks.
Ahead of the tour, the band will wrap up their summer dates with a support set for Richard Ashcroft at Englefield House in Berkshire on July 24 as part of the Heritage Live series. They'll also perform in Belfast and Dublin in October.
Since their last LPs, Shed Seven have also released 'Changed Giver', a reworking of their 1994 debut 'Change Giver', as well as last year's 'The Covers' EP and 'Liquid Gold (Live At York Museum Gardens Edition)'.
