Chat Pile Share New Single Same Rules From Upcoming Album 'Who Loves The Sun'

Chat Pile have released another single from their upcoming third album.
Maintaining their intense, confrontational sound while adding catchy hooks and melody, the brooding Same Rules follows the previously unveiled PEN I S MALL and Deep Blue in teasing 'Who Loves The Sun'.
Bassist Stin described the track as the, "first real Chat Pile song mostly recorded on 4-track cassette. Ray B. had given us the challenge to write a trip hop song and this is what we came up with. Unfortunately he's rejected 'Same Rules' from the challenge as he claims it's not trip hop at all and that we have to try again. Perhaps we'll get it right next time."
The Oklahoma City noise-rock four-piece announced the follow-up to 2024's 'Cool World' earlier this summer, confirming its September 4 release via The Flenser.
The band are currently touring Europe and play a show in London and two dates in Dublin next week before an appearance at ArcTanGent festival near Bristol, followed by dates across the US later in the year. Tickets are on sale now.
Since their last album, Chat Pile have released the live LP 'Live at Roadburn 2023' and their collaborative album with Hayden Pedigo, 'In The Earth Again', both in 2025.
