Denzel Curry And Kenneth Blume Announce Collaborative Album 'II' With New Single Difference

Denzel Curry (pictured) and Kenneth Blume, fka as Kenny Beats, have teamed up for a new album.
The two longtime collaborators will drop 'ii' digitially on August 21 via Loma Vista Recordings, with a physical release following on December 4, according a pre-order page.
The project serves as a sequel to the two genre-defying artists' 2020 collaboration 'UNLOCKED', which was followed by 'UNLOCKED 1.5' in 2021, featuring reworked songs from the original project.
To mark the announcement, the pair have shared the energetic hip hop track DIFFERENCE featuring Yebba. Other guests on the nine-song album include JPEGMAFIA on EVIL GRIN and Westside Gunn on CROWN. Blume said:
"The work Denzel and I do has never been easy, which is why it’s so rewarding. We’ve started every project on opposite sides of a coin and fought our way to the center. When I hear this album I hear the growth and the fight in equal parts."
Earlier this year, Curry linked up with Knocked Loose on the collaborative single Hive Mind and has since featured on ROOSTER with Whethan, Waka Flocka Flame and BKTHERULA, and Nobody Speak Part 2, a new version of DJ Shadow's 2016 single, alongside rap duo Run The Jewels and TiaCorine.
Curry released his latest album, 'King Of The Mischievous South', in 2024 and put out a collaborative record with The Scythe, 'Strictly 4 The Scythe', in March. This fall, he'll embark on a co-headline North American tour with Knocked Loose.
Blume, meanwhile, has been busy working alongside several major artists on various projects.
