JLS To Perform At Special Sport Relief Concert In London

Pop chart kings JLS have announced they are to release 'Proud', this year's BBC Sport Relief single. JLS have reportedly written and recorded the track which will be available by download from 18th March, hitting the shops the following day.

In addition to new song 'Proud', which had its first play on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show this morning, JLS have also confirmed they will perform two special Sport Relief concerts at London's O2 Arena on 24th March. The boyband will perform in the evening as well as an afternoon show at 2.00pm. Olly Murs and Rizzle Kicks will also perform.

Sport Relief is the charity which encourages the nation to raise money by getting active. It is expected that over one million people across the UK will take part in the Sport Relief Mile, all helping to raise money for vulnerable people in the UK and the world's poorest countries.

Speaking about the charity single, JLS commented: "We are so excited to be a part of Sport Relief this year. To have the official single is an absolute honour for us and we really hope that the song raises an amazing sum of money for such a fantastic cause!" Check out this year's single 'Proud' below.



Last year, you may recall Little Britain star David Walliams swimming along the River Thames in London to help raise more than £1 million for the charity. Other celebrities taking part in sponosored running events this year include Olly Murs, Lorraine Kelly, Kara Tointon and James Cracknell. In addition, Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton is currently undertaking a sponsored 500-mile trek to the South Pole.

A special fund-raising television show will be broadcast live on BBC One on 23rd March, presented by Claudia Winkleman, Fearne Cotton and Gary Lineker.

JLS are to embark on another arena tour later this year. The Fourth Dimension Tour will see them play at some of the UK's biggest arenas during March and April.
