Earlier this week, Andrew W.K., rock & roll’s reigning king of partying, announced a tour celebrating his debut album's 10th anniversary. Today, due to demand, the partyman has upgraded the venues for his UK shows in April.
When his I Get Wet album first exploded onto an unsuspecting public one decade ago, it quickly polarized audiences with an intense sound and even more intense front man. Ten years later, Andrew has decided to do put on a special show in honor of his origins. The band will perform every song from his groundbreaking release, in album order, every night of the tour, in March.
Originally released in 2002, 'I Get Wet' was W.K.’s rally-cry to the world. It unleashed anthemic hits like 'Party Hard', and 'She Is Beautiful' to an enthralled and sometimes enraged audience. Ten years later, it continues to bring pure party happiness to thousands worldwide.
Later this year Andrew WK will hit the road, with his full band, for the first time in seven years. UK dates have been confirmed to take place in April. Andrew W.K. is currently working on a new album which is due for release later this year.
Apr 12th – HMV Forum, London (upgraded from Electric Ballroom)
Apr 13th – Manchester, Academy1 (upgraded from Club Academy)
Apr 14th - Glasgow The Garage
