Download Festival To Announce Ten New Bands Next Week

Download Festival promoter Andy Copping has announced a further ten bands will be revealed in another line-up announcement due on Wednesday 1st February.

The promoter posted three messages about the announcement on his Official Facebook Page yesterday and earlier today confirming ten bands will be revealed next week. The posts read:

“OK...the next announcement is going to be Wed 1st Feb, ticket price goes up on Thu 2nd Feb to give everyone a little extra time to buy cheap"

Followed by...

“By the way, I said hopefully 10 more bands at the next announcement, I'm currently sitting at 9, I might just hit the dozen!!”

And finally...

“Act number ten for the next announcement has just confirmed!”

Download last made a line-up announcement on Monday 16th January, when Radio One Rock Show host Daniel P Carter revealed that Download 2012 will host the long-awaited return of Soundgarden, as well as performances from Chase And Status, Biffy Clyro, You Me At Six, Tenacious D, Machine Head, Lamb of God, Trivium, Devin Townsend Project, Devildriver, Little Angels, Anthrax, Ugly Kid Joe and August Burns Red.
