Ed Sheeran, Professor Green, DJ Fresh & More Confirmed For BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend

A massive, free weekender has been set-up by Radio 1 for this summer, with dance and pop stars like Andy C, David Guetta, Dappy, Deadmau5, Ed Sheeran and many more all lined-up to appear.

The Hackney Weekend 2012 will attract around 100,000 concert-goers – all of which will have to pay just £2.50 handling fees for tickets, despite the star-studded line-up. With 50,000 tickets on-sale on March 25th, with the other half the following day – all you have to do is register to apply for your ticket. A number of tickets will also be reserved for those living in Hackney and the other five Olympic boroughs – to celebrate London’s 2012 Olympics. For more ticket info, click here.

The event takes place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June, and the full line-up includes Andy C, Bombay Bicycle Club, Calvin Harris, Chase and Status, Dappy, David Guetta, D’banj, deadmau5, DJ Fresh, Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, Eric Prydz, Florence and the Machine, Flux Pavilion + Doctor P, Jack White, Jessie J, Labrinth, Lana Del Rey, Leona Lewis, Magnetic Man, Maverick Sabre, Michael Kiwanuka, Nero, Plan B, Professor Green, Rizzle Kicks, Sub Focus, Swedish House Mafia, Taio Cruz, The Ting Tings, The Maccabees, will.i.am, Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32 – and more are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
