X-Factor boyband One Direction have made really great friends with their American counterparts Big Time Rush. And, now that it’s been confirmed that One Direction will be supporting the Yankee singers on their US tour, it looks like Big Time Rush could make their way to the UK to warm-up for Harry, Zayn and co. when they tour the country next too.
The pair of boybands have become pretty good friends in recent months, and are set to embark on a tour together later in the month – the first time One Direction have toured the US in their career. Big Time Rush, who’ve already become heroes in their home country, told iVillage where they first met the boys – and their future tour plans together.
“We just met them, in Germany, before we came over here,” BTR’s James Maslow revealed. “They’re cool guys. I think all of our fans will be fans of theirs, and if they aren’t I think they will become so. I’d like to think maybe we can do something with them at some point over here in the UK.”
His bandmate Carlos Pena Jr. added: “I really feel like being 21 and 22 in the States is the same as 17 to 19 over here. We weren’t sure how it was going to be because they’re younger than us, but they’re just like us, we’ve all had the same experiences. So it’s going to be a fun tour, I’m excited.”
