Capital FM Unhappy At One Direction Thank You Speech Snub

Superstar X-Factor boyband One Direction are pretty untouchable at the moment, with the boys picking up a BRIT Award for Best British Single, a US tour with Big Time Rush coming up soon and another UK tour announced as of last night. But it seems that not everyone wants a piece of One Direction right now – Capital FM are apparently extremely unhappy that the boys thanked Radio 1 and not them at the BRIT Awards ceremony.
Apparently, the award was decided by Capital FM listeners and users of iTunes – so when One Direction graced the stage to collect the gong, the station was more than peeved after the boys decided to thank BBC Radio 1 instead of themselves – and reportedly cancelled an upcoming appearance from the group, as well as moving their tracks down the playlist.
A source close the station told The Guardian: “One Direction, as far as Capital are concerned, are only going in one direction,” but as you can imagine, Radio 1 are petty chuffed about the incident – with DJ Chris Moyles tweeting: “Best British single voted by listeners to Capital FM, One Direction. Harry Styles said 'a massive thank you to Radio 1' HaHa Nice one!”
That was the only revelation the boys made on stage last night – they also revealed that they’ll be embarking on a massive 2013 UK tour.
