John Grant, The Low Anthem and Midlake Join End of the Road Festival

John Grant, The Low Anthem and Midlake are among the first acts to be confirmed for End of the Road Festival’s first-ever Bella Union Day. Cashier No 9, Dirty Three and Lanterns On The Lake are also among the newest additions to the occasion, which will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the record label.

End of the Road festival is set to take place at Larmer Tree Gardens in North Dorset from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September, with Bella Union Day making up the Friday of the event. More acts are expected to be announced in the near future. See below for full line-up confirmed so far.

Speaking about the event and the 15-year anniversary, Bella Union founder and label boss Simon Raymonde said: “Bella Union and End of The Road Festival have so much in common, most notably our taste in bands. Having had several bands over the last five years who have headlined there, like Fleet Foxes, Explosions In The Sky and Midlake, all of whom loved every minute, it seemed that when discussing what we should do for our 15th Anniversary, a conversation with them was a good starting point. The outcome is something very special and this will be the pinnacle of our anniversary celebrations throughout 2012.”

Other acts confirmed for this year’s End of the Road Festival include Anna Calvi, Villagers, Grizzly Bear and Tindersticks. Last year’s event saw performances from Beirut, Mogwai, Wild Beasts, Gruff Rhys and The Fall.
