New Order Add Edinburgh And Newcastle Date To UK Tour

Alternative rockers New Order have added two extra dates to their April and May UK tour, following phenomenal demand to see the reformed band – which has resulted in a previous couple of extra dates already being added.
The band will now play shows in Edinburgh’s Usher Hall and the Newcastle O2 Academy on May 6th and 8th respectively, following the addition of secondary dates in both Manchester and London. Tickets for the Edinburgh and Newcastle shows go onsale this Friday (2nd March).
New Order, now consisting of Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gilbert, Phil Cunningham and Bad Lieutenant bassist Tom Chapman, have hinted that they could be working new material later on this year.
“Not even thinking about [writing and recording] at the moment because our heads are really on playing live,” Sumner told XFM. “It really is one day at a time – or one year at a time – and this year is playing live. Let's see [about working on new material]. Hopefully there'll be some recorded music as well.”
